After working as a dentist for 2 years in South-Africa whilst doing his compulsary military service, he relocated to the UK in 1990.
He worked as an associate in a busy mixed practice in Hertfordshire for 8 years before joining the Reading Practice as a partner in 1998.
He became principal in 2003.  Gerrit successfully introduced the very popular Private patient plan scheme Practice Plan to his patients in 2004.
He is a sedation qualified dentist, and attends regular courses in conscious sedation to be able to offer a safe environment for his patients.  He works with a qualified medical doctor and sedation specialist.  He has vast experience in all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in Endodontics.
He invites referrals for root canal work, with or without sedation.

In his spare time he enjoys golf. He also enjoys pilates, walking his dog, reading, going on golf breaks and travelling with his wife and 2 children.
